In order to raise the awareness of computer security and strengthen the ability to identify computer risks for workers from corporate offices in Macao, the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT) will organize three classes for the “Computer Security Basic Training Course (2023)”, which will take place on 7^th, 14^th and 21^st of June, 2023 (19:00 – 22:00) respectively at the Auditorium of Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre. The course will introduce basic theory and knowledge of computer security, potential threats in the world of Internet, and different types of attack and defense strategies. The course is free and 50 seats are available for each class.

　　Participants are welcome for workers who are required to use computer in workplace (priority will be given to employees to private critical infrastructure operators, as well as employees of small and medium enterprises Online registration is available from 09:00 on 26^th April, 2023 through the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center website https://events.cpttm.org.mo/seminar/242, and the deadline for registration is 17:45 on 17^th May, 2023.

Organized by the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT), the “Computer Security Basic Training Course (2023)” was successfully held on 7^th,14^th and 21^st of June (19h00-22h00) respectively at the Auditorium of Macao Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre, with an active participation of about 130 candidates.

The course introduced basic theory and knowledge of computer security, potential threats in the world of Internet, and different types of attack and defense strategies. By taking this course, CTT expected that participants will be able to use computers & IT equipment safely, as well as reinforcing IT security and the general safety of workplaces, and raising more awareness of IT security and ability to identify computer risks for office workers in Macao companies.

CTT will continue to hold relevant training courses to enhance the technical level of cybersecurity in the fields of both private operators of critical infrastructure and employees of small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as to cultivate more talents for cyber security development in order to promote the steady development of related industries.
